Continuity of Care
If a patient requires hospitalization we work closely with your local hospital and its hospitalist program. The hospitalist is a highly trained physician employed by the hospital to care for in-patients only. The hospitalist maintains daily contact with the primary care physician, consults with us regarding specialty consultations during your hospitalization and returns you to our care upon discharge with a follow-up plan we develop jointly. If you experience an after-hours emergency, the nearest emergency rooms are LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte and St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City. Identifying yourself as a patient of Kelsey Medical Center will facilitate having your records sent to our clinic if you need a follow-up.
Payment
Most major insurances are accepted along with Medicare. If you do not have health insurance, we will be happy to discuss our fee structure with you and provide care after appropriate financial arrangements have been made.
